I am currently controlling my Meade focus controller vis the FC USB and FC Boost but via USB to LT. I have recently successfully added a Celestron Skyportal WiFi connnection to my CGEM mount to control that (mount, guiding, etc) but would like to have remote control of focus too. Is the best way to do this just to have my focus usb connect to a seperate wireless usb hub at the telescope to communicate to laptop or is there another way possibly using the ascom feature of the Skyportal?
Thanks

Re: WiFi focus control connection wanted
This is a question we have not heard yet.
We do have ASCOM drivers for our FCUSB products at:
http://store.shoestringastronomy.com/products_fc.htm
Since this would not involve further investment in hardware, I would try that first.

Re: WiFi focus control connection wanted
Thanks. I guess a simpler question would be is the signal coming from a focus controller (ie fcusb) compatible with the signal that might get plugged into the RS232 port (ie coming from guide camera, etc) on a telescope mount? Because if it was then since guide commands transmit fine via ascom over wifi, then in theory maybe the focus commands would as well.

Sorry, I don't have an answer for that one.
