maximdl and serial webcams

Post by pete » Fri Jun 09, 2006 3:28 am

I think I know the answer to this already but I will ask anyway.

I have a serial controlled lx webcam, canon 350d and a CB245 camera. Rather than using three different programs to use them Maximdl was recommended. However I cannot confirm that maxim will operate a serial webcam but I see that it will control the LXUSB module.

OK here goes

Is it possible to use maxim or do I have to buy the LXUSB module.?

cheers

Pete

ps The serial control is via a parallal - serial converter and then via a FTDI serial usb converter.

Pete,

Sorry, I don't know the answer to this one. Drop a line to the folks that make Maxim and see what they have to say.

I have done Doug - thanks for the response though.

I knew I should have ordered one at the same time as the GPUSB.
