Orion SSAG Autoguider to Meade LX-10 HC port.

Unfortunately all the links I find, no longer exist. Our Free Non profit astropark has acquired a Celestron Celestar and a Meade LX10 mount. The latter is missing the hand controller.
A tech at Orion said we could just plug the Star Shooter Autoguider into the LX-10 hand controller port if we use a flip cable vs a straight cable. I am wary of that. I would welcome feedback for using the hand controller port for either. My direct Email is: therickcrockett@yahoo.com .Thank You!
