How can I connect my NEQ6 to my computer for EQMOD?

Post by skycamper » Sun Feb 05, 2017 11:21 pm

I have a Keyspan adapter from my lxd75 days but my 2015 NEQ6 Synscan needs a larger RJ plug to serial connection. What do I need here if I use my keyspan serial adapter?....unless there is a more reliable USB to serial adapter?? Someone on cloudy nights told Me to use FTDI chipset adapter instead of the keyspan.

If you are going to bypass the handcontroller, it is not only a matter of having a USB-to-serial converter, but also one that puts out TTL level voltages. Our USB2EQ5 and USB2EQ6 are designed to do that, and they use the FTDI chipset. These can be found at:

Hi Doug,
I'm not the smartest buyer here, anyway I don't have a need to bypass the controller. Just want to try this EQmod people are talking about. But can you provide the part numbers I need from your site? There's many there, I have an idea but want to make sure. What part numbers would I need to bypass the handset and what part numbers would I need to not do the bypass?
I 'll choose from there,
Thanks again

Our products are only for bypassing the handset. If the port on your handset is a 9-pin D connector, then you need the USB2EQ6. If it is an 8-pin RJ45 connector, you need the USB2EQ5.
