DSUSB and DSLRFocus

Post by rdunna » Mon Jun 22, 2009 6:29 pm

That´s really a very strange problem. With DSUSB connected, the DSLRFocus states that is was detected on the CameraControl/ Bulb Exposure Cable control window (a green filled circle), but if I try to take a long exposure capture, a message from DSLRFocus appears saying that the DSUSB was not detected. I remember that a green circle use to be on that capture window too when I use another notebook with paralel port.

Of course I checked the Use DSUSB for shutter Control. I found no mention of this behaviour on the internet.

Have you spoken to Chris Venter of DSLR Focus about this?

Nope, Chris appears to be a very busy man, he quit the support of DSLRFocus V3.3 a long time ago, for the despair and complains of thousands of buyers.

This is a great simple software, but with a lot of annoyances that could be fixed really fast, but he choose to make a new version 4 and of course everyone is distrustful.

If your DSUSB tests good using our DSUSBCheck or perhaps DSLR Shutter from www.stark-labs.com, then the problem must be with DSLR Focus software. I won't be able to fix that.
