DSUSB
DSUSB
Hey
Had a little probs last night, my SUSB wouldend work properly whit my 350D, when i use the checkapps everything works, but not the shotter, if i press on open shotter, it opens, but press close, it wont, there went 30sec and i close by itselvs, so i gave up after 2 houres, and shooting only 30 sec pictures that night, any idee that was the problem ?
It works perfectly today, but it a little late ??

Re: DSUSB
Not sure what happened last night, but I am guessing that you had the shutter speed set to 30 seconds. In order to get arbitrary length exposures, you will need to set the shutter speed to "Bulb" mode.

Re: DSUSB
With my 350D and the DSUSB, I do these steps:
1) Put the exposure to M (manual) mode
2) Put the shutter speed to Bulb
3) Put the lens in MF (manual focus) mode.
I connect the DSUSB to the camera's remote control input using the appropriate cable. I open up the DSUSBCheck software and wait until it says it has found the DSUSB. I then click Open Shutter and the shutter opens. When I click Close Shutter, the shutter closes.
Is this the same procedure you are testing with?

Re: DSUSB
You also need the camera set to Manual exposure mode. This is the dial on the top right of the camera, it needs to be set to "M". Please also try our DSUSBCheck software.
Given that you can control the LED, you know that the the USB link in the system works. Thus, the problem lies either in the output of the DSUSB, the cable between the DSUSB and the camera, or a problem with the camera or the camera's setup.
You might also try wiggling the connector of the shutter cable where it goes into the DSUSB. Some users have had trouble with that not making reliable contact.
