Astroart And GPUSB ?

Post by llacote » Fri May 12, 2006 5:54 pm

Hello !

I'm doing test with astroart 3.0 to autoguide my Losmandy G11 with the GBUSB (and a meade DSI pro).

I've tried the GPUSBcheck with the G11 and it's OK.

Now, you say that the GPUSB is compatible with astroart, without ASCOM drivers.

When I do the setting of the telescope with astroart (after having connected with success the Meade DSI and with the CCD control Panel), I don't know what telescope chose and what port choose (COM1 to COM8) to guide?

Can you give the solution ?
thank's a lot.

Laurent,

I believe you need to download and install the "Interface CCD" found on the French page at:
http://www.msb-astroart.com/ccd_fr.htm
or on the English page it is called the "User Interface" at:
http://www.msb-astroart.com/ccd_en.htm

They mention the Shoestring USB interface in the first item on the right side of these pages.

ASTROART and GPUSB

Thank's for your answer but the problem is that you need to use ASCOM driver to be able to recognize the GPUSB, and when you connect to the ascom driver using GPUSB, the answer of the guiding window of astroart is very slow and I'm afraid that the guiding response become bad.

PS : sorry for my english

Laurent.

At one time, Astroart had native GPUSB support and did not go through the ASCOM platform. You might check with the Astroart people to see if they can give you a better answer.
