EQ5 Handset Mod and altair webcam with ST4 port

I have carried out the EQ5 Mod on the handset for dual motors and all seems to be ok with the buttons for RA and DEC still working correctly. I have yet to test guiding.
Just a question regarding the Mod. Will it guide ok with an Altair Camera on a Guidescope then connected with a ST4 cable connected to the modded handset and camera then USB from the Camera to my laptop using PHD guiding software. I have a feeling this should be the setup but just wanted to check.
