I'm trying to get my old GPUSB cable up and running using 64 bit Windows 10. When I try to install GPUSBCheck, I'm getting an error during the software installation (please see the attached picture of the error message). Okay, well, I was going to send a picture, but even the compressed version was too large, so here's the error message.....
C:WINDOWS\system32\stdole2.tlb
Unable to register the type library: RegisterTypeLib failed: code 0x8002801C
Error accessing the OLE registry.
Click Retry to try again, Ignore to proceed anyway (not recommended), or Abort to cancel installation.
I stopped there.
I don't know if anyone has seen this before, but any guidance would be appreciate.
Thanks.

Do you keep your Windows updated?
There is a lot of information and misinformation out on the internet about this type of error. This webpage may provide some help:

Be very careful though.

You might also try bypassing the GPUSBCheck step and go straight to autoguiding. PHD Guiding would allow you to nudge the scope to check that everything is functioning.

Thanks, Doug. I'll take a look at those things.
