Mac OSX Driver

Post by jonny99 » Tue Aug 04, 2020 12:28 pm

Apologies if this has already been asked: Is there available a driver for GPUSB's chipset for Mac OSX (Catalina)? I'm currently using a generic USB-to-serial adapter with the combination of Stellarium and and LX-200, but I'd prefer to use the GPUSB if possible.

Thanks

There is not a separate driver. Support for the GPUSB is built directly into the various software packages. A list of those packages is found here along with the OS they support.

OK, thanks Doug. So for Stellarium (not listed there), my best bet would be to ask its authors to add GPUSB support?

That is correct. I can provide their developers the information they need.
