I recently purchased a BT2EQ5 device from Doug for use with my new AZ-EQ6 mount. When testing the installation with the EQDIRCheck software, I continually got an error message that no EQ mount was found. However, the light on the BT2EQ5 device did go from blinking to steady on, indicating (according to Doug) that a Bluetooth connection between my laptop and the BT2EQ5 device was being established.
Since I had purchased the product to use EQMOD, I tested to see whether EQMOD could find the mount's motor controller using the BT2EQ5 device. It could.
It appears therefore that at least some of the AZ-EQ6 mounts use a new version of the motor controller that the EQDIRCheck software does not recognize.
