Hello guys,
we are going to guide our NEQ3 Skywatcher Mount with PHD. The Handcontroller 3.xxof a friend is working well (10 minutes circle round stars). But my Handcontroller 2.05 doesn't work because there is no pc direct mode.
is it right, that i have to buy an EQDIR Adapter with an RS232 to USB converter to guide to mount with PHD???

Yes, you will need either our USB2EQ6 or USB2EQ5 adapter cables found at http://store.shoestringastronomy.com/products_eq.htm. I am not sure which cable you need because I am not familiar with which handbox connector is on your mount.

thanh you. For my understanding (I'm german)
I have to buy the EQDIR interface module from Shoestring Astronomy. That plugs into the hand controller jack on the mount with the skywatcher cable. Then I have to plug my USB-serial adapter to the EQDIR Interface and use the Celestron driver with EQMOD....
