My DBUSB seems to be communicating with my WIn7 64 bit laptop when using the DSUSBCheck program ("adapter found" and can play wiht the LED lights), however, when connected to my D700 with the 10 pin Nikon cable, the checker program buttons do not control the camera. On my laptop, the "assert AF/Wakeup" button seemed to open the shutter, but with a delay, but it does not do that consistently.
Thanks for any help!!

Bob

Re: DBUSB and Win7 connects but doesn't control D700
Thanks Doug. I am able to connect the camera with IP and control it there, but not the bulb release. (I have the 10 pin connector and the DSUSB). The DSUSBCheck connects and I can control the LEDS (as in the referenced discussion). I did not know I needed to press the asset first then the open shutter. That does work. However, the "close shutter" does not close; but when I deassert, the shutter closes. I am using a D7000.
Thanks again!

I can now connect my D700 to Image Plus camera control with W7 and use the bulb release. I had overlooked the DBUSB option at the end of the serial port list under the bulb release. All seems to be working well now with IP.
Thanks again for your help.
