Yes, Maxim DL should work directly with the GPUSB with no need for the ASCOM driver. I have an older version 4.58, here is how I access it:

View -> CCD Control Window
Guide Tab
Options -> Guider Settings
Autoguider Output Control Via -> select GPUSB

unfortunately : il doesn't work without ascom plateform and drivers. With them : the telescope is connected but "Not tracking" and when I want to slew : it's impossible and appears this : "Maxim DL failed tot start thr slew : Ascom telescope driver for shoestring GPUSB ; method slew to coordinate is not implemented in this driver" :?:

It sounds like you have the GPUSB connected as the "Telescope". The GPUSB works through the mounts autoguide port and will only provide small motions of the mount for the purpose of guiding it. It will not provide the fast slewing motion that moves a mount from one object to another.

See my original response on how to connect to the GPUSB for autoguiding.

Thank's : so I can only autoguide with GPUSB and not use it for Goto (it's not a problem, I have a Goto on the mount) ? and so is it normal that "not tracking" is displayed? Thank you for confirmation. Pierre
