Using DSII on the RCX400

Post by steven447 » Tue Jan 12, 2010 2:10 am

Does anyone know how to connect the DSI II onto the RCX400 using the Autoguide RJ12? Is this a good idea? The DSI II is supplied only with a USB cable. How do you use it to autoguide? (sorry, I'm a bit new at this, and the RCX is a 'beast').
Thanks.

Steve,

This document:
http://store.shoestringastronomy.com/Es ... uiding.pdf
explains how to build an autoguide system. You'll need our GPUSB and one of our RJ12 cables (GPFC-7, GPFC-14, GPFC-25, GPCC-5 or GPCC-7) to create a link between a computer and your mount. You will also need autoguide software such as PHD Guiding from www.stark-labs.com in order to complete your system.
