Takahashi EM200

Post by trabbott » Mon Feb 04, 2008 10:48 am

I wish to autoguide my Temma EM200 with a DSI Pro11 on a guide scope, and PHD Guiding Software. The Temma is controlled by Sky 6 Pro.
Could you confirm that the following is the correct way to make the connections before I order the parts:
Temma mount-- GPCC-Tak connector-- GPUSB adaptor and box--GPCC-5(RJ12 type) cable to USB on PC.
The DSI connects via USB to the PC and is operated by PHD guiding.

My imaging camera is a 20Da controlled by StarkLabs Nebulosity.

I there are any flaws in this arrangement I would be very grateful for advice.

Thanks in advance

I think you are close. I list them using the product names from our website:

Temma mount -> GPCNV-TAK -> GPCC-5 -> GPUSB -> PC's USB port

Doug, are these the same items I would use to attempt to autoguide an EM200 with a Celestron NexImage?
Thanks!
Mike

Hi Doug,

I have a CCD-Labs Q-guider and I have the Takahashi guider cable that I use to use with the STV. Will I still need the GPUSB to be able to autoguide the EM-200 mount?

Thank you in advance.

From what I can tell from the CCD-Labs website, the Q-guider is now the Orion Starshoot autoguide imager. This product has an autoguider output, and thus it should interface directly to the guide port of your EM200, through the Takahashi guider cable. Thus, you will not need the GPUSB.
