FCUSB/Meade LX200R Microfocuser and CCDSoft v5

Post by brimus » Sat Jan 26, 2008 1:38 am

I have installed CCDSoft v5 and then installed the FCUSB FocusAPI Driver for CCDSoft but I cannot get CCDSoft to recognize the focuser at all. I get Focuspal to work mostly (it does error and crash after running for a bit while trying to get the full range so I can get the center point). I can only find the Shoestring focus dll in \windows\system32 (windows xp is the os) but I cannot find the plugin for CCDSoft anywhere since I do not know where it should be or its name.
I am probably missing something simple but it eludes me to what it is.

Any help getting this to work would be helpful.

Thanks,

Brian

FCUSB/Meade LX200R Microfocuser and CCDSoft v5

Post by brimus » Sat Jan 26, 2008 9:32 pm

I reinstalled CCDSoft v5 today and found that the "C:\Program Files\Common Files\System\SBFocuser.dll" has an error during install. It states that it did not self register and "The Operating System cannot run."
Found the fix for this and that fixed the FCUSB with CCDSoft.

Sorry for the post but i missed the error during the first install.
