FCUSB and Moonlite Focusers

Post by jonlee0483@aol.com » Wed Apr 22, 2015 4:47 pm

FCUSB provide 5 volts DC.

Is this enough voltage for Moonlite focusers (both DC and Stepper) which usually require 9-12 volts DC?

The FCUSB will only work with DC motor focusers, not stepper motors. The 5V output from the FCUSB will usually work with 9V or 12V motors, but will not produce as much speed or torque. If your focuser has a large payload on it, this might be a problem.
