I use JMI Motofocus and Focuspal latest version to handle the focusing on my C11 hyperstar system, this is my second night where I start well sharp image and thru the course of the night it became out focus. Does focuspal need to select "motor off" buttom after focusing, if not will keep slowly moving?
BTW, I use windows 8 and works fine.
Thanks
JB

Re: Focuspal and motofocus
"Motor Off" is only needed after you have clicked on of the Motor On buttons that is not momentary.
I suspect one of two things is leading to your defocusing through the night:
1) Temperature change over time has made the telescope slightly longer or shorter.
2) A heavy payload on the focuser with the telescope pointed substantially vertical has caused the focuser to creep down. If there is a tensioning or lock knob on your focuser, this could help.
