FCUSB Software download issue

Post by stev74 » Mon Aug 15, 2011 5:24 pm

Hi All,

I've recently bought a FCUSB to control my Skywatcher Auto Focuser through my laptop but when I tired to download the FocusPal software it wont work all I get is this message (see attachment 2).

I also downloaded the FCUSB driver and get this message (see attachment 1).

I have an HP nx6125 laptop running XP professional (2002, service pack 3).

I have downloaded FocusPal to my desktop running Vista and connected the FCUSB with the Auto Focuser and the software runs fine, it controls the Auto Focuser with no issues. Obviously I cant take the desktop out in the field for imaging but at least I know there is no issue with the FCUSB hardware. :)

Any help with getting the software running on my laptop would be most appreciated thanks.

Steve

This should help with the FocusPal issue:

For the driver issue, this is the ASCOM driver for the FCUSB. If you want to use it with ASCOM compliant third-party software, then you will first need to download and install the ASCOM platform from www.ascom-standards.org, then download and install our ASCOM driver.
