Ascom driver Max Increment

Post by robert_brewington » Tue Dec 18, 2007 7:43 am

I just got your FCUSB driver running the Orion motor on my Tak Sky90 and a Williams Optics refractor. Very Cool.

I am using the Ascom driver. It seems there is a MaxIncrement setting of 1000 pulses, so if I travel farther than that it does a series of pulses. Thus, if I go 4000 pulses, it sends 4 separate packets of 1000.

Is this value configurable somewhere? I can't find a setting. I guess it doesn't really matter, but it looks and feels strange as the unit keeps starting/stopping. 1000 pulses isn't very far...

Thanks,
Robert Brewington

Robert,

I am glad to hear that you are finding the product useful.

Current there is no where for the user to adjust the MaxIncrement setting. I could change this in a future release of the ASCOM driver, but it may be a few weeks before I can get to this.

Thanks for the suggestion.
