Re: DSUSB2 not connecting Nikon camera

You are correct, the FTDI driver is not related to DSUSB/DSUSB2. As you have noted, your DSUSB2 must be OK since it works on the Win10 machine. One thing you might try is DSLR Shutter from www.stark-labs.com. It has built-in support for the DSUSB/DSUSB2, not a separate driver. If that works, then it...

Re: DSUSB does not work on Fuji

For the cables, I don't have any other suggestions, especially since they work on one camera and you have tried two different cables.

For the Mac issue, I'm not sure what the problem would be. I don't have access to a Mac, so won't be able to try and duplicate the problem here.

Re: DSUSB does not work on Fuji

Hmm, this seems odd. I've not worked with anyone using a Fuji camera that I know of, but according to this webpage I would think it would be compatible: https://www.doc-diy.net/photo/remote_pinout/ The only thing I can suggest is to make sure the cable is completely seated coming out of the DSUSB. T...

Re: EQMOD SHOESTRING

You can bypass the handcontroller completely and run directly to the handcontroller port on your mount using either the USB2EQ5 or USB2EQ6 (depends on the type of connector on your mount). I believe the software you have listed is compatible with the ASCOM standard, so you will also need the ASCOM p...

Re: FCUSB and SGP

To make sure this isn't an issue with the FCUSB, have you tried FocusPal that can be downloaded from the Shoestring Astronomy website?

Re: What do I need

If APT supports the Orion StarShoot, then I think you have everything you need. You will need to connect the autoguider output port on the StarShoot to the autoguider input port on your mount.

What mount do you have?
Can you send pictures of the cables you already have?

I have not heard of this issue before. Did you try to uninstall then re-install FocusPal after the upgrade?

Re: Connecting GPUSB to Losmandy G9 Mount

Dallas,

Apologies for the slow reply, I just noticed this post today.

The voltage should not be an issue.

I believe the handcontroller should be able to run in parallel.

Yes, please do. It's certainly possible that the GPCNV-TAK has failed.

Re: Connecting GPUSB to Losmandy G9 Mount

I'd say it is quite likely that the output drivers on your GPUSB are now damaged, but the good news is that this is the part that is different between a GPUSB and a GPUSB-AH. So, I think the best course of action is to return it to me and I will repair/convert it to a GPUSB-AH. I'll send you a priva...

Hi Russell. I've never owned one of these, so I am unable to help. Regarding the ZWO ST4USB, you should try ZWO or the dealer that sold it to you.

Re: Guide Port Converter for Takahashi Mounts Item #: GPCNV-TAK

Didn't mean to cause confusion. As far as I know, this type of connector does not have a standardized way to number the pins. Thus, the way I number them and the way you did are different, but the end result is that the physical/electrical connections are correct. Glad to hear you have everything ru...
