How to open FCUSB

I just downloaded the combined FCUSB and ASCOM 6.0 software but (and excuse if this a dumb question) how do you open the program? I can't seem to get a shortcut icon onto the desktop.

Re: Help with DSUSB

Hi Doug,
Thanks for the quick reply. I won't be at the observatory for about 10 days (ugh!), but I will test what you mentioned. As far as I remember, clicking on the LED boxes did nothing. I will write you when I test the connection in 10 days.

Help with DSUSB

Hi Doug, I am running my Canon 40D with Nebulosity 2 on my Windows XP laptop. I can control the shutter with the advanced settings on Nebulosity (longer than 30s), but want to achieve mirror lock-up with the DSUSB. However, I am getting no response from the adapter. I have the 3-pin connector plus e...

JMI compatability

Hi Doug; I have a JMI NGFDX3 Crayford-style focuser. JMI suggested their MFDX3 motor mod and PCFC software for control. Both are very expensive! I was wondering if FocusPal and the FCUSB would work with this motor. Thanks for your reply. ps. I am very pleased with the FocusPal and FCUSB connected to...

Re: Help with a JMI MotoTrak V

Thanks for the reply, Doug. Yes ,JMI told me basically that they no longer deal with these units. I just need to determine if the unit is damaged but I am unable to do this.

Help with a JMI MotoTrak V

Hello; I recently bought a MotoTrak V on Astromart and all seemed well. The power LED came on when it was plugged in. When I hooked it up to my telescope (an old Meade DS 16) however, the MotoTrak barely turned the Dec motor and then died. All subsequent attempts to power it up have failed. I realiz...

Re: JMI MotoTrak V

Hi Doug; Thank so much for you time and effort. The MotoTrak V user's manual says "when using a CCD camera for auto-guiding, a relay box is required on all CCD cameras except the ST4, ST5, and ST6." Does it matter what camera I am using for auto-guiding? (I am planning to use a Meade DSI color camer...

JMI MotoTrak V

I know I need an ST 4 relay box for my MotoTrak V for autoguiding. Do any of your products serve this function as these boxes are as rare as a cloudless night on the East Coast. Thanks for the reply. Michael :?:
