Re: DUSB with Eclipse Orchestrator and Nikon D7500
Unfortunately I don't use EO myself. I would give EO tech support or any online forums that deal with EO a try.

Re: Possible Issues with USB2EQ6 Cable
How long are the other cables that go from hub to devices (camera, focuser, etc.)? Do these cables all run together in the same bundle? If so, you might try separating them as much as possible temporarily to see if that helps. You might also try temporarily removing the focuser and polemaster cables...

Re: Possible Issues with USB2EQ6 Cable
This is an issue I haven't seen before. The only thing I can think of is that the new setup has a ground loop issue. Are you using any USB cable length extensions or is it just the USB2EQ6 between PC and mount? Are you using any USB hubs between PC and mount? Have you tried different USB ports? Have...

I'll try a post on the ASCOM developers group and see what happens.

Re: MaxStep & MaxIncrement in FSUSB ASCOM Driver
Unfortunately my skills and tools to write or update these drivers has eroded since I first published these. I would be more than happy to work with someone that has the ability to create a modernized version.

Unfortunately with my tools and skills, I have not been able to move to x64. I would be happy to work with someone that has the ability to do that.

I am all out of ideas, especially since I have never dealt with Macs. Your last paragraph might work.

Re: DSUSB connection problem
That is a strange one that I have never heard of before. I am not sure what it could be. Have you tried different USB ports on the PC that is hanging up? Do other USB devices work on that PC? Maybe try a USB hub between PC and DSUSB. Let me know if any of those options changes things.

Re: DSUSB cable - ERROR Initializing the DSUSB adapter issue! - SOLVED
I'm not sure if a reinstall of ASCOM and/or APT 32 bit version would help. Hopefully your friend or APT knows the answer.

Re: DSUSB cable - ERROR Initializing the DSUSB adapter issue! - SOLVED
Since you are able to change the LED and open and close the shutter, we know the DSUSB is working and able to communicate with your PC. APT has the drivers built in, so no need to separately load a driver. To be sure, do you have the camera's USB cable hooked up? You need both this cable and the DSU...

Re: How to open FCUSB
You will need to use an application that supports ASCOM in addition to the ASCOM platform and the FCUSB ASCOM driver. It's been a while since I have surveyed what's out there. If you just want to test the FCUSB with your focuser, you can download and install FocusPal from our website: http://store.s...

Re: Tak EM200 and GPCNV-TAK and GPUSB connection method
Hi Dennis,
The RJ12-to-RJ12 device that comes with the GPCNV-TAK is simply a coupler for adding additional lengths of cable. If you can get your GPUSB that close, you can remove the coupler and plug the remaining cable directly into the GPUSB.
Enjoy!

Re: Trying to figure out a problem with GPUSBCheck
You might also try bypassing the GPUSBCheck step and go straight to autoguiding. PHD Guiding would allow you to nudge the scope to check that everything is functioning.

Re: Command protocol
You are correct, the FCUSB is a pure USB device, not mapped as a serial port. If you would still like to use the FCUSB and are writing your own software, there is DLL available for it. Let me know if you are interested.
